The fire, which took place around 11 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at the Asiana Cafe, located at 68 E. Putnam Ave., in Greenwich, has closed the establishment until further notice.

The fire department said there was visible smoke coming from the ductwork in the rear of the building when they arrived on the scene.

The restaurant had already closed for the evening so no patrons were injured, officials aid.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from extending into surrounding structures.

The restaurant will reopen after receiving approval from both the health and building department.

The restaurant has been open since 2002 and is known for its Pan-Asian cuisine.
